Love for nature expressed in lace.

Lace has been a status symbol for many centuries.
Not only the design excels, meaning is also expressed through the use of symbols.
Naturalistic designs in lace were influenced by Japanese art.
Belgium is famous for lace due to the fine quality thread.
Flax is one of the oldest and strongest vegetable fibers.
We should be aware that nature is also important for lacemaking.
Diane Claeys invites you to explore the beauty of lace at the World Expo.
